Let's Learn about Chilean National Day!!

The National Holiday in Chile is called Fiestas Patrias, it's celebrated in september and consist of two days of celebration the 17 and the 18 of the month. Unnoficially it can be extended to 2 more days of celebration, but it depends of the starting day of the celebration. For example, if the celebration is on a Wednesday it can be extended to Friday.
The significance of this celebration isn't about the independence of the country, because it wasn't a 18 of september, in fact it happened on february 12. The real meaning of this celebration is about the first national meeting of Government. It's very important this holyday to Chilean people because they are celebrating their freedom from the Spanish Monarchy.
What does people usually do?
People often go to a house with all of their family, to have a drink, eat empanadas, and/or have a barbacue
These year's we got a new law where every house NEEDS to hang the chilean flag out of their houses
People dance the traditional dance called the "Cueca"
Also have a drink called "Terremoto"
In the city we do a thing called a "Fondas" where we reunite all the city to buy something to eat, drink and where we can dance and enjoy some time with other people aside of friends and family
In there we have bands that play's some music like "Rancheras"-"Cuecas"
We have some traditional Toys like the "Trompo"-"Emboque" Also we have some games like "Gincana"-"Bag Jump"-"Tug Of War"-"Three Legged Race"
